When you stand on the walls of Chocim Castle and you look down, you will see that the waters of Dnestr have a dark blue color. The river is deep near the castle and it runs slowly. The small waves reflect the clouds – gilded with the last rays of sunset. When you go several miles down the river and you climb the walls of the Soroki fortress, you will see that Dnestr is very shallow there. The yellow sand will shine thru the waters and the tiny waves reflect the blue sky.
